2022 In Review

Another year done and dusted and what a year 2022 has been.

Let's take a walk down memory lane and see what crazy we got up too.

January 2022 We moved forward with our Therapy Room and while it did work it was too much work only offering casual days so it meant that sometimes the room sat empty so we decided to transform it to another big office in September 2022.

March 2022 saw us take on the next doors lease, that was a no brainer as it already had access into our space and they already used our toilets so of course we couldn't say no. With already 4 rooms done and a reception area we decided to add in another 2 rooms adding in 6 more private offices to our growing space which meant we no longer needed that 2nd entrance which became another office. It was a month-long job of re-painting, new carpets and lots of tears, yes for some reason this one broke me more than the 7 months of reno's we did in 2021! go figure. But it's done and I absolutely love it.

June 2022 The beautiful Becc started with us. I had no idea how much I needed her in the business to not only help me move the vision along but personally too. Shes a gentle soul and knows how to calm the crazy down. Becc I am so glad that you're still here putting up with my crazy dreams x

June 2022 We decided that the Training Room at Ko Kollective would be better suited as an office as one of our members needed a bigger space for their 7 staff so we transformed the room into an office which had a "pit area" for the staff, bosses office and their own meeting room.

July 2022 We started our Secret Events where I invite 10 beautiful business owners in Toowoomba for a dinner at Emerald Kove. As you know I hate "networking" so this is my way of actually creating proper business/friendships with other business owners. I can't wait for this to start again in 2023.

September 2022 Abbey The Hufflepuff started with us as our new Community Host. Shes a fresh of cool NZ air and is learning so much and is such a great asset to both businesses, I can't wait for 2023 when we get to show her more.

Then from September until now it looks like we did nothing lol but behind the scenes we were working hard on our Virtual Ko website and new services that we wanted to offer to Toowoomba Business owners. Minor renovation ideas that I have on a whim (my poor husband) lots of water damage that couldn't be helped and its still happening but I have now just learned to accept it lol

2022 was a really big year, it may not look like it but every weekend we were doing something for the businesses.

Personally though I didn't really share too much about it but I had surgery in September to remove my left ovary and left Fallopian tube. I had 2 weeks to prepare myself but suffered with the issue for a good 10 years!! Ladies don't bloody do it to yourself, I honestly thought it was normal until one thing changed one month and I knew it wasn't right so after being told "your fine" from 3 different doctors I finally demanded to see a specialist in that field and he saw it straight away. There was a mass on my ovary so it had to be removed, listen to your body ladies and if it doesn't feel right keep pushing until you get those answers. I will never again not listen. to my body ever again.

We did a trip to Melbourne in May for my Birthday and absolutely loved it. November saw us every weekend in Brisbane/Gold Coast for all the things rescheduled for "you know what" so that was a massive month for us, fun but ahh never again.

So if you got this far, its been a big year of mostly highs but I would not change one thing. So many new and amazing members who are now some of my closest friends who I adore, we also said goodbye to two amazing members that have been with me for the last 4 years who I miss every single day!

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported Ko Spaces whether it be a recommendation, reivew, event, meeting or helping spread the word to friends and family, I truly do appreciate you all.

In a few days I will share with you what we have planned for 2023 or perhaps I won't and I might make you wait.. what do you think? Either way 2022 has been amazing and I can not wait for 2023. Tash xo

Keep up to date with us.

Creating a healthy and vibrant workplace is crucial for well-being and productivity. One simple yet highly effective way to enhance your work space is by incorporating plants in the office. Not only do they add a touch of nature to your environment, but they also bring a lot of health benefits. Let's explore the best office plants that can transform your work space into a healthy and green oasis. Snake Plant (Sansevieria trifasciata): Known for its air-purifying qualities, the snake plant is a low-maintenance choice that thrives in low light conditions. It releases oxygen at night, making it an excellent addition to your office space for improved air quality. Spider Plant (Chlorophytum comosum): This resilient plant is renowned for its ability to remove common indoor pollutants. Its arching leaves and offshoots create a visually appealing display, making it a popular choice for desks and communal areas. Peace Lily (Spathiphyllum): The peace lily is not only aesthetically pleasing but also an efficient air purifier. It thrives in low light and helps combat mold spores, making it a perfect choice for shared workspaces. ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia): If you're looking for a virtually indestructible plant, the ZZ plant is your go-to. It can tolerate low light, irregular watering, and neglect. Its glossy, dark green leaves add a touch of elegance to any workspace. Aloe Vera: Beyond its well-known healing properties, aloe vera is an excellent indoor plant. It requires minimal care and is effective in removing pollutants from the air. Place a small aloe vera on desks to promote a calming and soothing atmosphere. Incorporating these plants into your space not only enhances the visual appeal but also contributes to a healthier and more productive work environment. So, go ahead, bring the outdoors in, and let your workspace grow with the liveliness of greenery. You and your team will be thankful for it! So, which plant are you going to start with?
